After arriving back in Kyrador after their victory in the dwarven halls, the group bid farewell to Talitha who was told to return to her family to begin her training as a Silver Knight, the knights who came for Talitha also informed the group of an army of orcs & ogres moving aboveground towards Kyrador. The group headed to their keep for some rest before heading back to Syris to speak with Count Draken. There they met with a pixie and her pet phase spider, who had intriguing news for Lee; her granddaughter was alive.

The group set off to Syris immediately. There they learned that Kyrador needed better magic defenses, as it seemed that the Count’s daughter had escaped custody with arcane aid. Thus he was calling upon an old treaty with Aerinvale, beseeching them to send wizards to add to their arcane defenses. The heroes agreed, figuring that once there, they could use the prolific teleportation magic available there to teleport to the last known location of Lee’s granddaughter.

They were sent to secure a privateer ship that worked directly for the count. Xerath’s presence made boarding difficult as many of the crew did not want a fell eladrin among them. Once aboard however, the group pulled their weight, defeating a trained krken being controlled by a Otheimian spellcaster. The Otheim raiders then attempted to board the ship, but the heroes fought them off as well.

Once in Aerinvale the group learned that there were an unusual amount of elven refugees and a ban on teleportation magics. It seemed the elves of Elinia had some problems with an unknown species of creature attacking them, and their refugee caravans, mainly women and children, were being attacked by fell eladrin along the way. The fell eladrin were also using powerful magic to scry on and circumvent any teleportation magics that Aerinvale was employing to make the refugee caravans travel quicker.

The group traveled to Elinia, rescuing a refugee caravan from some fell eladrin along the way. Once there they were met with a chilly reception from the elven king. He finally deigned to allow the heroes to help, sending them to the Firewaste Swamps to the south to investigate the strange lizardmen that had been attacking the elves.

The heroes found the lizardmen and found that they were actually a peaceful race. They were attacking the elves because their ambassador had been killed by the elves first. They also had no choice. They were being pushed out of their lands to the north and were hoping a teleportation device would deliver them to safety. It sent them from the Thunderdeath Marsh in the north to the Firewaste Swamps. They then discovered the forest to the north of the Firewaste and watched it. Once they learned of the elves, they sent an emissary to them in hopes of finding an ally and sanctuary.

The heroes found out that the lizardmen were being forced out by Tiamat’s armies. The heroes agreed to scout out the temple that the army operated out of. After a grueling trip through a marshy jungle, they arrived at the temple only to be captured.

Back...

Rainsong

A diminutive pixie, Rainsong and her companion, Creeper the phase spider, have come to aid Emmalie...and to search for Rainsong's missing husband.

Emmallie

Called Lee by her friends and allies, Emmallie is a wise female eladrin who was once a powerful and skillful swordmage who recently discovered a love of the pure art of wizardry. She is out seemingly to prove herself, and secretly to eliminate the dragon that killed her granddaughter.

Verathmus

Verathmus joined the group after they rescued him from one of Tiamat’s military prisons. He is a silver dragonborn and a devout follower of Tamara, the dragon goddess of light and healing. He is a quiet sort, and the group doesn’t know a whole lot about him. Yet.

Xerath

A mysterious male fell eladrin, Xerath escaped the cruelty of his own people and hopes to use his unnatural control of storms to make a name for himself, though making some extra coin wouldn’t hurt either.

Korrosion

The general of Tiamat’s armies and the principal enemy of the group. Korrosion is a megalomaniac that would give a red dragon a decent stand up fight, which is unusual for a black dragon, since they are generally far weaker than the reds.

Alira

Alira died fighting the black dragon Korrosion trying to avenge Redgar. Her sacrifice has galvanized the rest of the group who wish to wreak vengeance upon the monster that killed their dear friend.
